MYTH

I have some friends that interested to go Korea but have some worriness that untrue. They are:

  • Korea is expensive country?

Yes, Korea is not a cheap country, but still reasonable price. Airplane tickets cost vary and can be very cheap when have promo. For real life, here you go:
  1. Street Food = The price for snacks in the streets range from 1000-2000 won for tteokpoki, kimbap, heotteok, sausages, grilled seafood.
  2. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner = It's definitely hard almost impossible to find breakfast in Seoul, LOL. All shop, restaurant open at 11am till midnight, so in the morning I can only go to seven-eleven or another minimart. Lunch and Dinner will cost around 5000won.
  3. Transport = Going with subway will costs around 1000won one way. You can use T-money or KR-Pass to ride subway in Seoul.
  4. Hotel= Expensive hotels are everywhere and you can choose freely. But if you are low in budget, hostel and guesthouse in Korea also convenience and safe. Feb 2013 I stayed in Hey Backpackers in Hongdae for only 15.000won /night with free use of stove, dining room, television, wifi, and meet awesome friends from Canada, Germany, Philippines, and China. Hostel in Seoul much cheaper than Singapore!!
